It was rapid-fire humor and racy for its time. Anyone who watched the show will remember that. ebfdenverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08015072606995899269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-4313175184519271082017-06-24T13:25:30.828-04:002017-06-24T13:25:30.828-04:00Thanks, Mitchell. My articles on the Hitchcock shows are intended to be thorough reviews, so if you're worried about spoilers it would be best not to read them until you've seen the show!Jack Seabrookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02216640325305820140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-8958178171614923102017-06-24T03:30:35.760-04:002017-06-24T03:30:35.760-04:00While Me-TV has cut back the hour-long shows to ea...While Me-TV has cut back the hour-long shows to early Monday morning, it's replaced the old time slot for those shows with the half-hour ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS, starting back at that show's beginning in 1955. Me-TV isn't rerunning THRILLER at all now, but it may get back to rerunning it at some future date.Jonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00483417885845331990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-68143723664336940212017-06-24T00:46:42.163-04:002017-06-24T00:46:42.163-04:00That was a dead boring US Open. Pebble Beach, Oakmont, Olympic, Pinehurst #2, Oakland Hills, Merion, Baltusrol, Shinnecock Hills, Southern Hills...who needs a "johnny come lately" course like Erin Hills?J.R. The TV Guide logline called attention to the presence of an unusual twist ending that required extra security on the set - and already I've said too much.
For maximum effect, you ought to come to this one completely cold - no foreknowledge at all.
What I'm saying is, that if you haven't read Jack Westbrook's piece yet, and you still plan to see this -don't read the piece at all.
Don't worry, it'll be there when you get back. The Internet is forever (more or less).
One small problem: I note that MeTV has cut back the Hitchcock Hour to overnight Sunday at 3 in the blessed AM. So you're looking at a wait ...
Oh, by the way, I notice that the next episode that Jack has up is "Death Scene" with Vera Miles and John Carradine.
Same precaution applies as with "Unlocked Window", and for the same reasons.
Just so you know.
