Oftentimes, one has to hunt through the listings to find stars who are still active, or even still alive. Check out Personality at 10:00 a.m.—Rita Moreno's not only still alive, she'll be one of the Grand Marshals at the Rose Parade the day after tomorrow. Jim Brown's still around too, though I don't think he's going to rush for 1,000 yards this season. Maybe 500, though.

Gorgo: "It might not have been a good idea to bring that live prehistoric monster to London—it has a parent that's coming after it." Doesn't that sound like it belongs on MST3K? TV
From NBC's other game shows aired on this day, Abby Dalton is the only survivor of the 9 guest celebrities on HOLLYWOOD SQUARES, though Marty Allen died just under 2 years ago at age 95. Vikki Carr & Joanna Barnes are still with us too, though probably not very active.
ReplyDeleteYour instincts were correct, MST3K did feature Gorgo in season 9.
ReplyDeleteIsn't WTCN an independent and KMSP the ABC affiliate? I never knew I'd have so much knowledge of Minnesota channel affiliations until I started reading your blog, Mitchell...
ReplyDeleteWrong. KMSP was ABC and WTCN was independent (since 1961). Just look at the programs you have listed for those stations!
