I THINK it was allowed to do so if there wasn't a public TV station in that market. Once there was a public TV station(Channel 24 an Iowa Public Television station) they had to stop running it. paulsonj72https://www.blogger.com/profile/18118231322032199900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-23547064554782896562017-05-07T13:03:16.690-04:002017-05-07T13:03:16.690-04:00More New York City TV listings please.More New York City TV listings please.Alexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10266426319815617240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-56567297915364284522017-05-03T01:50:27.756-04:002017-05-03T01:50:27.756-04:00In the mid-70s my local ABC affiliate (KHGI Kearne...In the mid-70s my local ABC affiliate (KHGI Kearney, NE) aired some CBS shows because the CBS affiliate (KOLN Lincoln) chose to air Romper Room at 9 a.m. The Joker's Wild, Spin-Off, and the first hour-long seasons of The Price Is Right. That went away when TPIR moved to 10, where it is today. KOLN had local kids' shows like Romper Room (hosted by the wife of the then Nebraska Secretary of State) and Cartoon Corral at 3:30 into the 80s. There was also a religious-oriented kids' show on Sunday mornings called For Children Only. It was hosted by Rev. Dale Holt with the puppet Mordecai "Mordy" Mouse. That show had Hanna-Barbera and WB cartoons on it, and also religious programs like Davey & Goliath and Jot. timdub70https://www.blogger.com/profile/09891461198896930029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-17739691004362419012017-05-03T00:08:13.791-04:002017-05-03T00:08:13.791-04:00Are the ABC listings missing Split Second at 11:30...Are the ABC listings missing Split Second at 11:30 a.m.?

This date marked the 9th anniversary of Another World.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09893110454701602152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-87923342345869772222017-05-01T23:57:45.306-04:002017-05-01T23:57:45.306-04:00Mitchell, the new channel listings are much easier...Mitchell, the new channel listings are much easier to read for those of us with ever-failing eyesight - nice improvement! Would it be fair to say that the "Brady Bunch" was the last of the truly "wholesome" family situation comedies?

George E.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-54223186714977086272017-05-01T09:28:08.087-04:002017-05-01T09:28:08.087-04:00When you mentioned children's programming, you...When you mentioned children's programming, you listed call letters KSTP along with WCCO, but then you mentioned channel 9 with channel 4. Channel 9's call letters were KMSP. Was KSTP named for St. Paul exclusively?
I also noticed that KCMT had LIDSVILLE, a color program, in B&W. I wonder if that's a typo or if KCMT was running B&W tapes (or kines) of LIDSVILLE instead of ABC's color videotapes.Jonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00483417885845331990noreply@blogger.com
