It really sounds like something ...That's great! It really sounds like something from SCTV, doesn't it? With John Candy as George, Bobby Bittman as Nick, and Lola Heatherton as Martha.

Or Dr. Tongue could do a 3D version of it!Mitchell Hadleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08695771505209080030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-37719850716397770642023-05-02T16:14:10.776-04:002023-05-02T16:14:10.776-04:00I'm still trying to get my head around Connie ...I'm still trying to get my head around Connie Stevens in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. Why not get Troy Donahue for Nick, Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. for George, and Eve Arden for Martha, and just end it all.Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13110737580937448266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-53087044119085663182023-04-29T11:32:09.606-04:002023-04-29T11:32:09.606-04:00The Rolling Stones were never banned from the Sull...The Rolling Stones were never banned from the Sullivan show, since Mick Jagger (obviously reluctantly) did what Sullivan required of him. The Doors though were banned not long after since Jim Morrison DIDN'T make Sullivan's required lyric change to "Light My Fire".

TW3's finale this week ended up winning an Emmy later this same year for a Burr Tillstrom hand puppet sketch. Alan Alda was among the show's regulars, and there is audio from at least 1 episode on an LP on YT.

James Stacy was the subject of a cover story from an issue you have yet to review from Feb. 22, 1969. He did get a job starring 2 seasons (1968-70) on LANCER. That story mentioned something along the lines of what a loser he had to be to lose his wife to Eddie Fisher (who famously lost Liz Taylor to Richard Burton). In the 1970s he was in a motorcycle accident which resulted in the loss of an arm & a leg. This disability helped him get a starring role in a 1970s tv movie called "Just a Little Inconvenience". He had been a semi-regular in THE ADVENTURES OF OZZIE & HARRIET, and he appeared when a local LA show took a look back at this show. He was posed against a wall with his intact arm & leg visible to hide his full appearance. He had some legal trouble before his death at age 79 in 2016.Jonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00483417885845331990noreply@blogger.com
