MUIR a look. He gave it a surprisingly positive review. I'm not saying that because I thought the series was bad (I've barely seen it myself.) but because it's rare for him to view a 1960s sitcom, especially w/ a supernatural premise, positively.Jonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00483417885845331990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-58658623874368533062016-02-27T22:26:13.379-05:002016-02-27T22:26:13.379-05:00I believe Nabors had a variety special in the 1966...I believe Nabors had a variety special in the 1966-67 season, sponsored by American Motors.Paul Ducanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-21545553159754532312012-10-26T10:56:58.287-04:002012-10-26T10:56:58.287-04:00Rick, you win the Bad Pun of the Day Award! :) T...Rick, you win the Bad Pun of the Day Award! :) Thanks for the additional info. It was the follow-up single to "MacArthur Park" which should have been available at that time. Unfortunately, "Joel Whitburn’s Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits" does not show it charting.

With the help of YouTube, I was able to refresh my memory of this all but forgotten song. Both the "Yard" and "Park" run longer than the average Top 40 song of the day, 5½ and 7½ minutes, respectively. Both have similar epic orchestrations and music bridges. However, "Yard’s" lyrics “take the cake” (yeah, I know), for including a prayer sung in Latin.

Having discovered your TV blog from your posts on www.radiodiscussions.com, I look forward to each new entry. Thank you.

Rick

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-22400503765442244042012-10-23T08:20:43.377-04:002012-10-23T08:20:43.377-04:00You're right - it was in Philly. BTW, final score in this game was 3-3.Mitchell Hadleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08695771505209080030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042603612494762084.post-37814415643810835622012-10-22T16:40:27.642-04:002012-10-22T16:40:27.642-04:00Typo.
