Something from the game show front.
ReplyDeleteDecember 31, in this case 1974, was the time that when Match Game'74 changes its date to '75. However, Match Game regular Charles Nelson Reilly was awol, but awol for a good reason. Charles would be on Broadway in the show "God's Favorite", which opened earlier in the month. That show last for about four months. In Chuck's place was the "Poet Laureate of Television" Nipsy Russell.
Here is the actual episode from December 30.
I also found a clip, or should I say blooper
from that week's $10,000, one of the few surviving clips of ABC's $10,000 incarnation. A word of warning Tony Randall actually says something he really shouldn't (cuss word) Gotta love Dick Clark's laugh though. :)
