It's the Minneapolis-St. Paul Edition again this week, which I'm sure surprises all of you no end, but this week's issue has a little different look than you might be used to. It's 1958, and although it resembles the ordinary Minnesota State Edition, Duluth has only two stations, Austin and Rochester don't make the cut, and we're even missing my beloved KCMT, In their place we have two stations from Fargo, North Dakota which we don't see very often. Same great programming, though, so let's see what the week has to offer.

THIS JUST IN!:
ReplyDelete(Off-topic, maybe, but let's see.)
Just back from YouTube, where someone from UCLA has just posted a 1960-61 vintage videotape of "Enough Rope" by Levinson & Link, from The Chevy Mystery Show in '60 - except that this is the one-year-later repeat (The Sunday Mystery Hour in '61).
Just to be sure, this is indeed the original of what became Prescription: Murder in '68, but here we have Richard Carlson as the evil shrink, with Bert Freed as a portly, middle-aged detective named Columbo (but you know that, don'tcha?).
For 1960s videotape, this looks pretty good: UCLA has included Walter Slezak's intros, outtros, and inbetweenos, plus the 1961 commercials (mostly in B&W; the 1960 spots for Chevrolet were eliminated, and the opening and closing credits had to be partially redone).
Anyway, there it is at YouTube, and I'd suggest that you bookmark it ASAP.
Happy Hunting!
