What's on TV? Wednesday, December 11, 1968

I'm assuming that many of you have seen Christmas in Connecticut, the 12:30 a.m. movie on KPIX. It's described as a "broad farce," which is a pretty accurate description of the storyline. It's also described as a "drama," which is not accurate in any sense. There isn't even any drama as to how it's all going to end, as you know from the very beginning that Barbara Stanwick and Dennis Morgan are destined to wind up together. I asked my wife what she thought this meant; I mean, how can a drama also be a broad farce? Her reply: "It means someone at TV Guide has never deen the movie." This error in judgment has been brought to you by the Northern California edition.
