ABC Scope is a general public-affairs program started in 1964; eventually, it will become dedicated solely to covering the Vietnam War. That's in the future, though—this week's edition comes from Paris, where the latest French fashions are on display. Co-host Olivia de Haviland interviews, among other designers, Yves St. Laurent.

The Minnesota State Fair concludes tomorrow, Labor Day; hence this afternoon's broadcast from the Hall of Labor at the Fairgrounds. TV
BRANDED could not have been broadcast in color on Sept. 5, since NBC didn't have it in color until the show's fall premiere a week later on Sept. 12. Maybe KSTP-TV was anticipating the show in color too early.
ReplyDeleteIt always was a forward-thinking channel...
DeleteSomeone at FB explained there was a three-part episode from that first season filmed in color, but aired in black & white originally.
DeletePaul
Were they the last there episodes of that season?
DeleteMaybe the producers were anticipating renewal, noted NBC wanted to go all-color, and decided to film the last episodes in color.
I suspect that the listing indicating "Rogues" moving to WTCN Channel 11 didn't indicate that it was reruns (as I don't think any episodes were ever made for first-run syndication).
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, more's the pity - it was a fun, literate show. I would have liked another season.
