What's on TV? Sunday, November 2, 1980

know we were just looking at 1980 a few weeks ago, but today we get to view America's two great pasions: football and politics. When they get to come together like this, it's the greatest combo since Reese's combined peanut butter and chocolate. Republican Vice Presidential candidate George Bush is on Face the Nation, while former President Gerald Ford is on Meet the Press. Paid political advertisements are scattered through the day, as are network analaysis shows predicting Tuesday's vote. On the football side, NBC has the doubleheader (and you'll notice that KCMT, which never caried the second game all the years I lived in the World's Worst Town™, is happily showing it now, two years afer we moved. But I'm not bitter; not at all), while CBS has the Vikings. And if you're not into all that, don't miss Solid Gold on KSTP, with a guest list that includes Gladys Knight & the Pips, Pete Townshend, Hall & Oates, Andy Gibb, and Steve Allen. Not bad, huh? Let's go to the Minnesota State Edition and see more.

  1. Archie Bunker's Place's episode that night was when Edith died.
