Just For Fun:
ReplyDeleteSince I don't have this issue in my inventory, and you don't include info on episodic shows, I'm usually stymied there.
However, the grab in the header enabled me to figure which Barnaby Jones aired on this night, and so I went to the Old DVD Wall.
Before I start, go back to the listing and read what the episode is about.
Back? OK …
"Doomed Alibi" is about a has-been actor who learns that a look-alike is impersonating him, in order to get freebies at lavish hotels and such.
Both parts are played by Monte Markham.
The HB decides to use the LA as part of a plan to dispose of an unwanted business associate; hilarity ensues (sort of) …
Seriously, this is a not-bad little thriller, with everybody double-crossing everybody else, and Buddy Ebsen settling everybody's hash at the end - fun for the whole family!
Good cast too: in addition to Markham, there's Linden Chiles, Katherine Justice, and in smaller parts Jamie Farr, Mark Roberts, Dean Harens, Walker Edmiston, Marcia Mae Jones, and a few other Old Familiar Faces.
That's why I watched TV back then.
These days, it still is.
