What's on TV? Tuesday, May 12, 1981

This is, I think, the first time we've visited San Diego (even though the Los Angeles listings are included, it's considered the San Diego issue), and I would have liked to learn more about the culture, so to speak, of San Diego TV. For instance, when was the last time you saw a TV station whose call letters begin with "X"? Unfortunately, by the time we get to the 1980s, there's not much left of a local station's personality, at least nothing that we can see from our brief glimpse here. (Although the aforementioned XETV does have a very interesting history.) There's still plenty to see here, however, as you'll find out.
